What is a Taplo card and how does it work?

A Taplo card is a smart business card equipped with NFC (Near Field Communication) technology. Simply hold it near a recent smartphone to instantly display your digital profile (contact information, social media links, WhatsApp shop). No app or scanner required (except for older models via the QR code on the back).

Does it work with all phones?

Yes! Taplo is compatible with 100% of smartphones: Via NFC: For iPhones (XS and newer) and most recent Android phones. Via QR Code: For older models, we've integrated a high-definition QR code on the back of each card. Your contact simply needs to open their camera.

Do I have to pay a monthly subscription?

No. At Taplo, purchasing your physical card includes lifetime access to your basic digital profile. We offer advanced features (detailed statistics, team management) through Premium plans, but the essential functions remain free after purchasing the card.

Can I change my information after receiving my card?

Absolutely! That's the whole point of Taplo. If you change your phone number or office adress, simply log in to taplo.biz, update your profile, and your physical card is instantly updated. No more reprinting reams of paper.

How does the integrated WhatsApp Shop work?

In your Taplo dashboard, you can add your products or services with photos and prices. When a customer views your profile from your map, they can click on a product, and this automatically generates a pre-filled order message in your WhatsApp Business.

Is my card secure?

Yes. Your Taplo card does not contain any banking information. It simply provides a link to your public profile. Furthermore, you can deactivate your profile remotely with a single click from your customer account if you lose your card.
